 EMU/ABBI BOUNDARY DISPUTE: NDOKWA WEST LG SETS UP SIX MEMBER VERIFICATION COMMITTEE.

 


A six man committee has been set up to investigate the remote and immediate causes of the boundary dispute between Emu and ABBI Communities in Ndokwa West Local Government. 

This was revealed by the Chairman Ndokwa West Local Government ,Chief.Obi Nzete represented by the Secretary to the Ndokaa West Local Government, Mr. Austin Okom,after the enlarged meeting with the two communities to resolve the boundary dispute between the two communities.

The peace meeting which was held at the Ndokwa West Local Government council,Kwale was attended by Chiefs and elders of the two communities,as well as the security Agencies, comprising the Army, police, DSS, among others. 

He said the communities had been told to hold their peace while the committee carry out their dudies.

Chief.Obi Nzete said the mandate of the committee , comprising three persons each from both communities, is to FasTrack the peace process arising from the boundary dispute between both communities. 

The Chairman stated that the committee will be meeting with the Local Government council from time to time in order to chart the way forward.

He said the two communities had been advised to maintain peace till the matter is resolved.
