Deltans have been advised to refrain from burning of bush or refuse around their environment to avoid fire outbreak.
The state Director Fire service Department,Mr.Eugine Oziwele, gave the advice while addressing newsmen in his office in Asaba.
Mr. Oziwele said most of the fire incidences encountered by his men were as a result of bush burning or negligence by residents.
The Director Fire services, also admonished Deltans to always switch off their electrical appliances and unplug it especially when they are not in use.
He equally appealed to residents to always give urgent and prompt information when there is fire outbreak.
Mr. Oziwele said as the dry season is around the corner, everybody has to be careful with their cooking gas and other cooking materials.
He appealed to residents not to attack fire service men especially when they have challenges of water shortage as it was not their fault.
