The Director National Orientation Agency NOA Malam Lanre Isa Onilu has reaffirmed the agency's dedication to institutional integrity, transparency and youth development.
Malam Lanre Onilu who stated this during the announcement of the just concluded Face to Face phase of the 2025 National Campus Debate across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
He said the Campus Debate is a flagship civic engagement programme designed to stimulate intellectual rigour,national consciousness,and value based discourse among Nigeria's youth.
According to him following several petitions received from participating Institutions requesting a review of the screening outcomes, in keeping NOA's can commitment to fairness,transparency and institutional credibility,the DG said he has approved the Constitution of an Independent Screening Panel to re- evaluate all zonal debate submissions.
"This independent panel was composed of seven eminent Nigerians renowned for their national standing,and commitment to public service"
The NOA DG explained that after transparent review process,the panel confirmed that six Institutions were confirmed winners which includes,North Central - Federal University Lokoja,North West Kebbi State Polytechnic ,Dakingari, North East Federal University Wukari,South East Nigerian British University.
Others are South South -Ignatius Hakuri University of Education ,South West - Mountain Top University .
Malam Lanre Onilu pointed out that the six Institutions have emerged zonal champions,and will progress to the grand finale to be hosted in Abuja during the Nigeria's Independence week celebrations .
He lauded all the participants for their passion,discipline and intellectual contributions .
The NOA Boss emphasized that the national Campus Debate is not only merely a competition,but a platform for reshaping Nigeria's future through youth led dialogue and civic innovation.
Malam Lanre Onilu extends the agency's appreciation to all the Institutions that participated in the 2025 debate cycle and invites Nigerians to follow the grand finale event through NOA media channels and nationwide broadcast.
