The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has emphasized that the trust of citizens is the most powerful factor in Nigeria's security sector. He also reiterated that no security strategy can succeed without public trust.
In a statement delivered at the monthly security collaboration meeting for October, held in Abuja, he said that Nigeria’s security, intelligence, enforcement, and monitoring agencies reviewed their operations for the month of September 2025. He noted that they reaffirmed previous achievements while further weakening the capabilities of criminal and terrorist groups across the country.
He stated that the country’s military continues to suppress terrorism and criminal activities, having conducted 198 military operations nationwide, effectively dislodging.
