The Delta State Government has approved the Regulation and Installations of Rear Underride and Side Underride Protection guards on Commercial Heavy Duty Vehicles,such as tippers,Lorries,Trucks,trailers across the State.
A Statement from the Office of the Hon Commissioner for Transport indicates that Feycols Corporate Ventures Limited is solely approved to regulate the Installation of Protection guards and similar Modification on Rear Underride and Side Underride on Commercial Heavy Duty Vehicles,such as Trailers,Lorries,Trucks,Tippers across the State.
The Statement added that Feycols Ventures is to discourage the use of Unauthorized or Unsafe Rear and Side Underride Protection guards accessories that may pose danger to other road users.
Also,Feycols is to ensure the usage of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials,as part of Protection guards accessories and the Issuance of compliance Certificate to Commercial Heavy duty Trucks,while observing all Safety Standards.
Accordingly,Commercial Heavy Duty Trucks,Trailers,Lorries,Tippers are advised to comply with the Rules and Regulations on Rear and Side Underride Protection guards to avoid altercation with the authorities.
Enforcement of the Regulations on Installation of Protection guards and similar Modifications in compliance with Safety Standards,will be effected as from January 1st 2026,across the three(3)Senatorial Districts in Delta State,be guided to avoid prosecution.
