Tinubu Wins Delta APC Presidential Primary with Over 407,000 Votes
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Delta State, polling a total of 407,646 votes across the state’s 25 local government areas.
The result was announced in Asaba by Delta State Governor and State Collation Officer, Sheriff Oborevwori, after the collation of results from all local government areas at the APC state secretariat.
Speaking after the announcement, Governor Oborevwori described the outcome as a reflection of the growing strength and acceptance of the APC in Delta State. He expressed optimism that the party would continue to expand its support base ahead of future elections.
The governor commended party members for their commitment and peaceful participation throughout the primary process, noting that the successful conduct of the exercise demonstrated confidence in the leadership and direction of the party.
He further assured Nigerians that the APC-led administration would continue to address socio-economic and infrastructural challenges through policies targeted at improving citizens’ welfare and promoting national development.
Congratulating President Tinubu and other successful candidates of the party, Oborevwori stated that Nigeria remains on a stable path under Tinubu’s leadership.
Also speaking, Delta APC Chairman, Solomon Areyenka, described the presidential primary as a major test of the party’s popularity and grassroots support in the state.
He praised party faithful for their steadfast support for the Tinubu administration and their commitment to strengthening the APC ahead of future electoral contests.
Other party leaders and stakeholders present during the collation exercise also congratulated Tinubu and other victorious candidates, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them and sustain efforts toward deepening internal democracy within the party.
The APC presidential primary was conducted nationwide through direct voting across wards and local government areas, with Tinubu recording strong support in several states, including Delta State.
