NOA DG Commends Kano Govt for Donating Operational Vehicle
The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has commended the Kano State Government for donating a Toyota Hummer Bus to the Agency’s state directorate.
The vehicle was presented to the Kano State Directorate on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to strengthen the Agency’s capacity for grassroots mobilisation, public enlightenment and dissemination of government policies and programmes.
Issa-Onilu said the gesture demonstrated the state government’s recognition of NOA’s role in bridging the communication gap between government and citizens.
He noted that the vehicle came at a critical time as the Agency prepares to intensify voter education and civic engagement ahead of the electoral process.
The NOA boss said improved mobility would enable officers to reach more communities and engage traditional and religious leaders, schools, markets, youth and women groups, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
He assured the Kano State Government that the vehicle would be properly maintained and judiciously used for voter education, public enlightenment and community engagement.
Issa-Onilu also urged other state governments, corporate organisations and stakeholders to support NOA’s grassroots communication efforts, describing such support as an investment in responsible citizenship, national unity, peace and democratic participation.
