Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has inaugurated the Koka flyover and Interchange Asaba initiated and constructed by the Delta State Government.
Alhaji Abubakar said the bold step by the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to build a flyover on a federal government road was a clear indication that PDP government was championing restructuring.
He commended Governor Okowa for blazing the trail and charged other PDP governors to continue to execute projects that will advance the rescue mission of the party.
Alhaji Abubakar said when the party emerges victorious in the forthcoming elections,it will restore autonomy to local and state governments in order for it to make more imput in the society.
The Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP and Governor of the State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa said the Koka flyover and Interchange was a measure to address the daily gridlock at the junction.
Senator Okowa said the flyover will also complement the dualisation of the Asaba/Ughelli road project and gave assurance that his administration will continue to execute projects to enhance the lives of Deltans.
He lauded the contracting firm for executing the job in line with contractual agreement and sued for the continued support of Deltans in building a stronger Delta.
Other speakers at the event described the project as a bold step that has reduced loss of lives and final stop to traffic hold up
