DISCLAIMER: Egbudu-Akah Community Disowns Prince Augustine Nzemeke As King.
Egbudu-Akah community, in Aniocha South local government area of Delta state, has notified the Aniocha South Local Government Council, Aniocha South Traditional Rulers’ Council, Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council, the Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Directorate of Chieftaincy Affairs, Office of the Deputy Governor, Delta State; Delta State Government, the Federal Government and the general public, that Prince Augustine Nzemeke is not the Obi of Egbudu-Akah
The community, in a statement made available to newsmen, alleged that Prince Augustine Nzemeke had been parading himself as King outside the community and in the process asking for money from some unsuspecting members of the public with a fake promise of conferring chieftaincy titles.
The statement was signed by the Obi-in-Council, the Council of Chiefs, the Diokpas (Heads) of the three quarters in Egbudu-Akah and the Illoh royal family, as well as the President General of the Egbudu-Akah Development Union.
The community maintained that Prince Augustine Nzemeke was never at any time crowned or installed as the Obi of Egbudu-Akah, pointing out that his late father, Prince Paul Obiokolie was also never crowned but proclaimed himself as the Obi, a sacrilegious act which forced him into self exile where he passed away.
It labelled Prince Augustine Nzemeke as a dissident and an impostor, advising members of the public not to have any dealing with him in the capacity of the Obi of Egbudu-Akah, as doing so was at their own peril.
The statement affirmed that HRM Solomon Oguagwu remained the legitimately crowned and recognized Obi of Egbudu-Akah.
