The State House of Assembly today screened and confirmed as first batch, 9 nominees out of the 26 nominees for appointment as Commissioners and members of State Executive Counci In a motion moved by the Majority Leader Honourable Emeka Nwaobi and seconded by the member representing Ika North East constituency Hon Marilyn Daramola-Okowa the House dissolved in a Committee of the Whole House where the Chairman Honourable Emomotimi Guwor asked that the 9 nominees be screened in batches where Hon.Pat Ajudua, Joan Onyemaechi, Reuben Izeze who are non sitting members alongside Mrs Rose Ezewu be screened first.
After a brief introduction by the Lawmakers representing them at the State Assembly they were given the rare privilege to take a bow.
The House also thoroughly screened Fidelis Tilije, Sunny Ekedayen, Godknows Angele, Joseph Onojaeme and Orode Uduaghan
The Speaker then asked the Majority Leader to move a motion for their confirmation individually seconded by members representing them at the House.
Congratulating them for their successful screening and confirmation,Honorable Guwor sued for dedication to any portfolio assigned them urging them to work hard in ensuring a stronger and better Delta.
The Majority Leader then moved for the House to Adjourn Sitting to tomorrow.
