In a decisive move to tackle mounting issues faced by local tricycle operators, Chief Okafor Uchenna, Deputy Director General of the Taskforce Monitoring Team for the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA),urges members to register and embrace peace.
Chief Okafor called on all members to register with the taskforce and embrace peace.
The Deputy Director emphasized the importance of registration, saying it will facilitate better coordination, communication, and conflict resolution within the union.
He said the registration process will enable them to identify genuine members and provide necessary support and resources, stressing that It will also help to address grievances and resolve conflicts peacefully.
Chief Okafor further appealed to members to shun violence and embrace peaceful resolution of disputes as they must work together to maintain peace and stability in communities.
To register, according to Chairman,members are advised to visit,registration centers and provide required documents.
He explained that it will give them access to training and capacity-building programs, Improved communication and coordination and enhanced conflict resolution mechanisms as well Support and resources for genuine members.
The Deputy Director revealed that the criminals noticed in the state are intruders from closed by states saying that they have been working with the state security agencies to checkmate the criminal activities.
