National Orientation Agency Announces State Winners, Zonal Schedule, and Debate Theme for the 2025 National Campus Debate
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the state-level stage of the 2025 National Campus Debate, Nigeria’s flagship civic engagement platform for youth in tertiary institutions. From May to July 2025, institutions across all 36 states and the FCT submitted debate video entries, with the top three selected per state. Following an internal screening at the NOA Headquarters, one institution per state has now been officially confirmed to represent their state in the next stage.
The Agency commends all participants for their intellectual rigour and creativity and extends appreciation to our State Directorates for their exemplary coordination.
Zonal Face-to-Face Debates: 15th–22nd September 2025
The next phase of the competition—Zonal Face-to-Face Debates—will take place from 15th to 22nd September 2025 across the six geo-political zones. Each zone will host first-place winners from states in that region
Theme-Unity in Diversity: Defining National Identity in Nigeria’s Multicultural Society.”
Grand Finale: Nigeria Independence Week October 2025
The debate will culminate in a National Grand Finale during the week of Nigeria's independence celebration 2025 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebrations. Zonal champions will compete in a televised final round, showcasing youth excellence and civic leadership.
Cash Prizes:
• 🥇 1st Place (National Winner): ₦50 Million
• 🥈 2nd Place: ₦30 Million
• 🥉 3rd Place: ₦20 Million
