The Chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government, Chief,Obi Nzete who performed the take over,stated this at IGBE Ogume Community at the formal hand over of the community Health centre to the Local Government done on behalf of the community by the Chairman IGBE Ogume Community Development Committee, Chief Alaska Ekele.
Chief Obi Nzete who commended the European Union who faciliteted the building, called on the community to always protect and secure the facilities because it was their duties to ensure the security of the Health centre.
The Chairman who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government,Mr.Sunday Enu,commended IGBE community for their contributions saying that whatever that will make the Health centre to function properly will be provided.
Also speaking, the representative of the European Union,Mr.Osaiga Chinedu said the body decided to provide the Health centre to contribute to the welfare of the community adding that it had been difficult for the community to access Health facility which was not healthy.
While commending the community for their peaceful exhibition during the building of the structure,Mr.Enu revealed that the European Union after take off of the Health centre is coming to site another project in Igbe Ogume.
In a welcome address, the Community Development Committee Chairman, Chief Alaska Ekele expressed gratitude to the Ndokwa West Local Government for coming to take over the operations of the Health centre saying that it will go a along way to relieve the community of difficulties in accessing health facilities.
Chief Ekele promised that the community will cooperate with the Local Government to ensure that the Health centre functions properly.
He said the Health centre was faciliteted by European Union and commended the effort of the Ndokwa West Local Government Chairman Chief Obi Nzete for coming to take over, saying that the community is happy.
Highlights of the occasion was cutting of the tape by the representative of the Ndokwa West Local Government Mr.Osaiga Enu.
