ICE HONOURS CHIEF SOLOMON IGULU FOR SUPPORT TO EDUCATION IN UKWANI
Delta State Board of Institute of Continuing education Honours Chief Solomon Igulu for his outstanding contributions to educational development in Ukwani Local Government Area of Delta State.
The recognition took place during a normal meeting of the Ndokwa Elders Forum, hosted by Chief Igulu at his residence in Umutu, where members of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) presented him with a picture statue in appreciation of his efforts.
Presenting the gift during the meeting, the Chairman of the Institute of Continuing Education, Chief Florence Omoni Johnson, accompanied by a Board member, Mr. Ukoh Ojeh, and a representative of the Institute’s management, Mr. John Ogonnah, said the gesture was in appreciation of Chief Igulu’s vital role in facilitating the re-commencement of the Institute of Continuing Education in Umutu.
Chief Omoni Johnson emphasised the readiness of the Delta State Government to partner with well-meaning individuals to promote education across the state. He noted that Chief Igulu’s contribution would go a long way in advancing educational opportunities in the community, in line with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The ICE Chairman also appealed to other public-spirited individuals to support government initiatives, stressing that such support would have positive impacts on both the community and the contributors.
Responding, Chief Solomon Igulu described the honour as a pleasant surprise. He expressed gratitude to the Institute of Continuing Education for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational development whenever the need arises.
