Investor Influx Reflects Nigeria's Improved Global Image, DG NOA
The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has attributed the recent surge in investor interest to Nigeria's enhanced global image and improved international perception.

Addressing journalists from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Issa-Onilu emphasised that the growing confidence among foreign investors, international financial institutions including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, as well as world leaders, demonstrates the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to reposition Nigeria's image on the global stage.

He stated that the Agency remains committed to its global reputation management mandate, a key component of the National Values Charter's institutionalisation policies, which received Federal Executive Council approval in October 2024.

The DG explained that recognising the need for defining the true Nigerian identity, the NOA brought together critical stakeholders in a collaborative process that resulted in the National Values Charter, which articulates the core values and characteristics of a true Nigerian.

Highlighting global reputation management as a key priority, he revealed that the NOA plans to bring the National Values Charter campaign to the Nigerian diaspora communities.

Issa-Onilu also stressed that national development requires a psychological connection between citizens and their country, adding that progress happens when people are in tune with government initiatives.

He concluded by expressing confidence that with the structures now put in place, the country's value system will be restored, bringing Nigeria back to the core principles that define its identity.
