The political atmosphere in Delta State shifted on Monday, April 13, following a massive rally in Asaba.
The rally signaled growing momentum for APC Delta North senatorial candidate, Mr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.
A large and enthusiastic crowd attended the event, reflecting strong grassroots support for his candidacy.
Speaking at the rally, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu stressed the power of the people in a democracy.
She said leadership and democracy are centered on the will of the people.
According to her, the people have the authority to determine who leads them.
Anyafulu thanked the people of Anioma for their massive turnout at the rally.
She also urged them to uphold their cultural values, especially integrity.
She described Okowa as a leader who understands and reflects Anioma values.
Anyafulu said Okowa must uphold these values and deliver on his mandate if elected.
She further described him as an effective communicator and inclusive leader.
According to her, Okowa connects with diverse audiences and promotes peace.
She added that he is a deep thinker and skilled negotiator.
Anyafulu noted that he understands the responsibilities of the Senate.
She said he also supports an open-door leadership style.
She described him as a catalyst for development in Delta North.
Anyafulu commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for prudent leadership in the state.
He described Okowa as a strong candidate for the Senate.
Ezenyili urged the people to vote for him during the primary election.
In an interview, Barrister Richard Okolocha described Okowa as the most suitable candidate.
Okolocha is the National Legal Adviser of Agugu Anioma from Ukwuani Local Government Area.
He called for unity among Anioma people ahead of the primary election.
He expressed confidence that Okowa would deliver development and empowerment if elected.
