The political landscape in Delta State experienced a notable shift on Monday, April 13, following a massive rally in Asaba.
The event signaled rising momentum for the APC Delta North senatorial aspirant, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, as a large and enthusiastic crowd turned out in strong support of his candidacy.
Addressing the gathering,the member Representing Oshimili South ,Hon. Bridget Anyafulu emphasized the central role of the people in a democratic system, noting that leadership must reflect the collective will of the electorate.
She commended the people of Anioma for their impressive turnout and urged them to uphold core cultural values, particularly integrity.
According to her, Okowa embodies the values and aspirations of the Anioma people and must remain committed to them if elected.
Anyafulu described the aspirant as an effective communicator and inclusive leader who fosters unity and peace across diverse groups.
She added that his open-door leadership style positions him as a catalyst for sustainable development in Delta North.
She also lauded the leadership of Sheriff Oborevwori, commending his prudent management of the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government,Hon.Obi Kelvin Ezenyili thanked supporters for their continued backing, describing Okowa as a strong and capable candidate for the Senate.
He urged constituents to support him in the upcoming primary election, noting his depth of thought and negotiation skills.
Also speaking, Hon.Richard Okolocha described Okowa as the most suitable candidate, calling for unity among the Anioma people ahead of the primaries.
He expressed confidence that Okowa would deliver development and empowerment if elected.
