NGOZI OKOLIE APPRECIATES GOD FOR SUCCESSFUL INAUGURATION AS MHR
Christians have been told to worry less about failed attempts and missed opportunities as what ever is due to them will always come at God’s appointed time.
A Catholic Priest, Revealed Father Peter Mobuogwu, made the call on Sunday in a homily at a thanksgiving service at the Emmanuel De Saviour Catholic Church, Asaba, in honour of the Member, House of Representatives for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie.
Fr. Mobuogwu, who made references to different scriptural teachings, said a true believer should only be encouraged by failures in life rather than entertain fears of the unknown, which often led to unfulfilled dreams.
The Priest stated that power and authority could only come from God, but added that in a democratic setting the power to choose leaders belonged to the people, as was demonstrated in the case of Ngozi Okolie, who had made several unsuccessful attempts in the past to represent his people.
He congratulated the Federal Lawmaker on his election and successful inauguration and urged him not to take the mandate given to him by the people of Aniocha/Oshimili for granted now that it had pleased God to place him in the National Assembly.
Fr. Mobuogwu advised Ngozi Okolie to have the interest of the people at heart at all times in his representation, insisting that he must strive to justify the confidence reposed in him by Aniocha/Oshimili people who voted massively for him in the February 25 National Assembly election.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen after the thanksgiving service, Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie said he acknowledged the hand of God in his electoral victory and felt the necessity to thank God in consonance with the biblical one out of the ten lepers who came back to thank God for making them clean.
Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie assured the people of Aniocha/Oshimili that he would effectively represent their interest in the National Assembly, stressing that they made the right decision to elect him as the first indigene of Oshimili South to represent the Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
