DELTA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY HAS CONFIRMED THE APPOINTMENTS OF THE BOARD OF INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE WITH HONOURABLE SOLOMON IGHRAKPATA AS CHAIRMAN

 The State House of Assembly today screened and confirmed the appointments as Chairman and Executive Directors of the Board of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service with Honorable Solomon lghrakpata as Chairman.

Also at plenary the Supplementary Appropriation (Amendment) Bill 2022  scaled through second and third reading and passage. 

In a motion moved by the Majority Leader Honourable Emeka Nwaobi and seconded by the member representing Warri South 1 constituency Honourable Austin Uroye the House dissolved itself into a Committee of the Whole where the Chairman Rt Honorable Emomotimi Guwor asked the House to first screen the nominee for Chairman Honorable Solomon lghrakpata and Honorable Orezi Esievo nominee Executive  Director ( Legal Services) who are non sitting members.

After a brief introduction to the House by the members representing them at the State Assembly they were asked to take a bow.

The House also screened the nominees for Executive Directors Frank Nwugo Esq (Operations), Kelly Oghenekevwe (Finance and Administration) and Collins Iwebunor ICT and Corporate Development. 

They were also asked to take a bow.

The Majority Leader Honourable Emeka Nwaobi then moved a motion for their confirmation which was seconded by the Deputy Speaker Honourable Authur Akpowowo

Still at plenary the Supplementary Appropriation (Amendment) Bill 2022 enjoyed unanimous support from Lawmakers lead by the Majority Leader who informed the House that the size of the Suplimemtary Bill earlier passed by the House on December 19 2022 remained the same but  the Amendment only sought to regularize the deviation in the Recurrent and Capital Expenditure.

The Speaker then thanked Lawmakers for their support and also congratulated the Confirme Chairman and Executive Directors of the Board of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service.
