STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY HAS CONFIRMED THE APPOINTMENT OF PRESIDENT CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL , HONOURABLE NGOZI OJUGBANA-ORISHEDERE

The State House of Assembly today screened and confirmed the appointment as President of the customary court of Appeal Delta State of Honourable Ngozi Ojugbana-Orishedere.
The Speaker Honourable Emomotimi Guwor also at plenary read letters sent to the House for consideration by the State governor.
The House which dissolved itself into Committee of the Whole screened Honourable Ngozi Ojugbana-Orishedere after a brief introduction to the House by the member representing Oshimili South constituency Honourable Bridget Anyanfulu representing her at the state Assembly.
After the screening by the Lawmakers the chairman of the Whole then asked the justice to take a bow
The Majority Leader Honourable Emeka Nwaobi then moved a motion for her confirmation seconded by the Deputy Speaker Hon Arthur Apkowowo.
The Speaker also read a letter from Governor Sheriff Oberevwori seeking the consideration of the House for the reconstitution of the Board of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service where Honorable Solomon lghrakpata is to function as chairman, Frank Nwago Esq. Executive Director, operations, Kelly Oghenekevwe Finance and Administration, Collins Iwebunor ICT and Corporate Development and Honorable Orezi Esievo Legal Services.
The Majority Leader moved a motion to receive the letter seconded by the member representing Patani constituency Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe
The Speaker then asked the nominees to submit copies of their Curriculum Vitae to the office of the Clerk on or before Monday and appear for screening on Tuesday.
The Speaker also read another letter from the State governor seeking an amendment of the 2023 Supplementary Budget.
