The lyase of Asaba Obi patrick Onyeobi has called on the Federal,Delta State Government and the Oshimili south Local Government to dredge the coastline of the river Niger from Ugbolu to Asaba in order to turn it into a tourist attraction .
Obi onyeobi who made the call in his country home in Asaba while interacting with newsmen on the state of Asaba,the state capital, said that Federal,Delta State and Oshimili south local Government would derive a lot of revenue from such lofty and legacy projects pointing out that countries such as senegal, singapore, finland and Equatorial Guinea build their revenue generated from tourism.
The Iyase advised Governor Oborevwori to set politics aside and appoint members of his cabinet to reflect the various ethnic groups in Delta State so as to sustain the prevailing peace in the State.
Also speaking the Delta State chairman of the motor spare parts dealars, chief Boniface Ezeigwe charged the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori not to forget the lbos living in Asaba and other places in the scheme of thngs in order to give them a sense of belonging.
