Christians have been called upon not to allow the sufferings of the moment to divert their attention from the things of God as God will turn things around for their own good.
Pastor Sam Onitiri of the Royal Priest Hood Divine Assembly,Asaba, who stated this in a church service to mark the end the Church ,Annual Convention and Feast of Ingathering, tagged,"You are Royal", said some christians tend to distance themselves from the things of God as a result of their present wavering circumstances.
Pastor Onitiri admonished believers to always back up their day to day existence with prayers and faith in order to receive the intervention of God.
He said life is full of challenges but with Christ nothing is impossible to overcome.
The Clergy called on christians to be strong with the things of God and refrain from sin in order to benefit from the things of God.
Pastor Onitiri said only those who resisted the temptations of Satan would enter the kingdom of God, stressing that they should identify with Christ and should show who they are as any man who is in Christ is a new creation and old things will pass away.
The Clergy called worshipers to look inwards,search their hearts, ask for forgiveness and lean to forgive one another.
He urged Christians to always appreciate God for His good works in their lives, adding that they should show love and kindness as wickedness does not pay.
Pastor Onitiri called on the leadership of the country to have a change of heart and alleviate the sufferings of the masses and put the welfare of the people above all other considerations.
He reminded them that it was God that gives opportunities and power saying that when God is provoked no man blames God.
The service featured, drama presentation, choral renditions and prayers.
