COMMISSIONER FOR ENVIRONMENT REITERATES COMMITMENT TO KEEP DELTA STATE CLEAN IN LINE WITH GOVERNOR'S MORE AGENDA

The State commissioner For Environment Mr Ejiro  Jamani has reiterated his commitment to keep the state capital and other urban centers  clean in line with
 Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's  more Agenda.  
Mr Jamani Stated this in his office in Asaba during a chat with Journalists, stressing that by law the duty of cleaning the drainage and other environment is the responsibility of the local Government council .

According to Mr Jamani,there is an unwritten agreement between. Members of the various taskforces in the State and the law enforcements to ensure that Asaba the State capital  and other urban centers across the State such as  Sapele, Warri,Orerokpe, Ughelli, Agbor, Kwale and Obiaruku are pencilled down for the last Saturday State monthly environmental cleanliness.
He charged members of the public to Obey environmental laws not only for health reason but for the beauty of the State stressing that anybody who violates  environmental rules will be made to face the trial of the mobile court.

Mr Ejiro Jamani also pointed out that members of the taskforce will not take it kindly with those who roast corn  along the road and dump the remnant inside the gutters Stating that anybody caught will be prosecuted. 

The environment commissioner  therefore advised environment marshals and members of the taskforce to be disciplined and keep tenaciously to the core mandate of the ministry in order to achieve set goals
