The Public Relations Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Delta State Command, Mr John Kennedy has confirmed the release of the senior officer of the Command who was kidnapped by gunmen outside his residence in Ogwashi Ukwu, Delta State,on the 14th of November 2024.
The PRO,further revealed that the officer was released on the 17th of November 2024 as a result of the pressure mounted on the kidnappers by the collaborative effort of the security agencies.
When asked whether a ransom was paid to secure the release, the PRO answered in the negative and attributed the development to the joint effort made by the police, military ,DSS, and the Agency personnel.
