Oshimili South Environmental Health Officers Seal Fusion Signature in Asaba
On Wednesday, the Oshimili South Environmental Health Officers sealed the premises of Fusion Signature Limited, located along Okpanam Road, Asaba, near the Internal Revenue office.
Speaking to newsmen, the Deputy Director of Environmental Health, Oshimili South, Mrs. Esther Edafinene, stated that Fusion Signature had previously been served with multiple warnings and court orders, but failed to comply.
According to Mrs. Edafinene, the establishment had been generating waste without managing it in accordance with environmental regulations. She disclosed that Fusion Signature was illegally dumping refuse in a nearby compound without proper disposal mechanisms, thereby endangering public health.
She urged hotels, eateries, and other public establishments to ensure proper waste management to prevent the outbreak of diseases. Emphasizing the seriousness of the situation, Mrs. Edafinene called on all Deltans to take environmental protection seriously and act responsibly.
Meanwhile, the facility was later unsealed after about 8 hours following the abatement of the nuisance, an affidavit for good conduct and a motion to unseal the facility before the Court.
