Aniocha South LP Chairmanship Candidate , Prince Chukwudi, heads for election petition tribunal, cites electoral fraud
The Labour Party ( LP) Chairmanship Candidate of the just concluded saturday July 13 , 2024, local government polls, Prince Ferdinand Obaugo Chukwudi, is set to challenge the declaration of the PDP Candidate, Pastor Jude Chukwunweike, as the winner of the elections , at the constituted Delta State Local government election petition Tribunal
The Labour Party Chairmanship Candidate for Aniocha South, in a chat with newsmen at Ogwashi uku, headquarters of the local government, said electoral materials did not get to most polling units in Aniocha south , thus disenfrancising voters
Prince Ferdinand Chukwudi stated that his polling unit 2, DSIEC Ward 4 , at Onihe Primary svhool ogwashi uku witnessed no materials , culminating in his being disenfranchised from voting in an election that he was a Candidate
He added , among his grievances, that none of the Labour party agents signed any of the result sheets in the purported elections, thus calling to question , thr cedibility of the polls in Aniocha South
While also affirming that the DSIEC adhoc staff recruited to conduct the elections in Aniocha South were discovered to be card carrying members of the PDP, the LP Chaormanship Candidate also said the security agencies, particularly the Police , aided the PDP in carrying out their electoral fraud that included vote buying and outright intimidation of Labour party supporters
Therefore , the Aniocha South LP Chairmanship Candidate, Prince Ferdinand Chukwudi, said he is going to the local government election petition tribunal , to seek for the cancellatíon of the elections , having not substantially complied with the provisions for conduct of the elections by DSIEC
