FLOOD ALERT & RESPONSIBILITY OF RESIDENTS
To prevent flooding and protect your homes/property, please take the following necessary steps:
• Clean your compound thoroughly.
. Switch off all electrical appliances in your room(s) and other areas prone to flooding.
.Protect your children, keep them far away from flood prone areas.
• Clear drainage channels in front of and around your compound.
• Move valuable property from flood plains to higher ground.
• Stop dumping refuse into drainage channels.
• Dispose off your refuse properly using PSP disposal points/containers.
• Subscribe and pay for PSP services.
Comply and take proactive steps now. Delta State Government has arranged temporary IDP CAMPS in designated areas across the three senatorial districts; Delta Central, Delta North and Delta South.
