DELTA STATE ICE RECEIVES SCIENCE EQUIPMENTS: OMONI JOHNSON
In a bid to improve Educational standard of the Institute of Continuing Education,ICE, the Delta State Government has approved the purchase of science equipments and the reshaping of the face of the Institute across the State.
The State Board Chairman, Institute of Continuing Education, ICE, Honourable, Florence Omoni Johnson revealed the plans while handing over the science equipments to the Head of school of science Education,Mr.John Ogonah.
While appreciating Governor Oborevwori for the approval of the science equipments to be purchased, the chairman pleadged that the Institute will continue to support the more agenda of the Governor.
She directed that the science materials be spread to other branches of the school in order to achieve the purpose for the purchase..
While showcasing the beauty of the wall of the Headquarter of the Institute which has been painted and wearing a new look,Hon.Omoni Johnson said there was need to start from the Headquarter before moving to other branches.
The chairman called on the staff and students of the Institution to see what the Board is doing as their contribution while they should appreciate and protect the materials.
She commended the Board members for their cooperation and hard work,saying that with the State Government's support, the Board will achieve it's goals.
Hon.Omoni Johnson said the science equipments would enhance the performance of the teachers while the students will enjoy the practical aspect of their leaning.
In a response about the science equipments, the Head of science Education,Mr.John Ogonah said the materials comprises the agric science, biology, chemistry and physics, saying that with the microscope you can see what the eyes cannot see.
He expressed gratitude to the State Government and the Board for the positive plans to change the realities of the Institute adding that they will continue to do their best to ensure that the students perform creditably well.
Some of the students who spoke, including,Akinsete Isaiah and Millicent Ijeh appreciated the Board and state Government for the gesture, saying that it will go along way to improve their leaning.
