Residents of Marine Road, Asaba, Call on Delta State Government to Address Poor Road Construction.
Residents of Marine Road, off Cable Point in Asaba, have called on the Delta State Government to revisit the recently completed road project, citing concerns over the poor quality of work executed by the contracting firm.
Speaking with journalists, the Central Chairman of Tipper Park, Comrade Chibuzor Azodo, along with other residents, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the standard of construction. According to them, although the construction company had declared the road project completed, attempts to use the road revealed significant flaws.
An on-the-spot investigation by newsmen confirmed that several portions of the road have already deteriorated, raising serious concerns about the quality of materials and workmanship employed.
The residents emphasized that the current state of the road represents a potential waste of public funds and appealed to the state government to intervene urgently and ensure the road is reconstructed to acceptable standard.
