NSCDC WILL SYNERGIZE WITH ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN DELTA STATE.

The Delta state commandant of the Nigeria security and civil Defense corps (NSCDC) Mr Matthew Ovye had expressed the commitment of the command to join hands with other security agencies across the state to fight crime in order to justify Governor Oborevwori's more agenda.
Mr Ovye stated this in his office at Ibusa road Asaba while briefing journalists on the NSCDC core mandate.
The Delta state NSCDC boss explained that the core mandates of the command include the stoppage of pipeline vandalization, safe school control, training of private Guards of companies and involvement in peace and conflict resolution.
Mr Matthew Ovye commended the Governor of Delta state His Excellency Francis Oborevwori for his initiative and magnanimity in providing logistic support to security agencies in the state to ensure relative peace in all parts of the state.
He stressed that due to the administrative and leadership ingenuity and wisdom of Governor Oborevwori the spate of pipeline vandalization has dropped to the barest minimum in Delta state since he assumed office as the commandant in Sept. 17th 2024.
Mr Ovye also disclosed that the NSCDC authority takes charge of training private Guards company. The functions of the private Guards is to ensure that security is maintained in the various companies across the state and beyond.
The commandant also stated that one of the significant core mandates of the NSCDC is the safe school initiative. He said in the safe school operation, some gallant officers and men undertake routine surveillance patrol of primary, secondary and tertiary schools to checkmate pupils and students cultism.
According to commandant Matthew Ovye the NSCDC also takes part in curbing fire disaster, flood disaster and conflict resolution saying the challenges facing the command include lack of logistics and inadequate information from members of the public.
