NSCDC APPRECIATES OBOREVWORI FOR PROVISION OF OPERATION VEHICLES.
The State Commander, Nigeria Secretary and Civil Defense Corps,NSCDC,Mr.Mathew Sunday Ovye, stated this while speaking with newsmen in his office in Asaba,Delta State, saying that Delta is peaceful as a result of intervention and assistance from Government.
Mr.Ovye explained that the issues of illegal bunkery and vanderlism had reduced drastically because of the operations of NSCDC and called on the operations of illegal mining companys to look for something else to do.
He said crude oil production has increased as a result of reduction in vanderlism and back up by the State and Federal Government, adding that since he took over office, things has been working well.
While saying that information is critical, Mr.Ovye called on the public to always give information to NSCDC as security is everybodys responsibility.
He revealed that they have provided Corps guide in all the primary and secondary Schools which has helped to reduce criminalities in schools.
He said apart from security matters,NSCDC, mediate in conflicts, saying that they have solved many crisis..
The NSCDC Commander enumerated challenges facing the command to include, logistics and lack of proper information from the public.
