Former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has paid glowing tribute to former Governor Chief James Onanefe Ibori, describing him as the "architect of modern Delta" in celebration of his birthday.
In a statement on Sunday, Otuaro commended Ibori’s visionary leadership during his time in office, saying the former governor laid the foundation upon which Delta State continues to thrive today.
“Chief Ibori didn’t just govern—he envisioned and executed a transformation,” Otuaro said. “Today’s Delta thrives on that vision.”
Reflecting on Ibori’s enduring legacy, Otuaro noted that his own political journey, like that of many others across the state, was inspired by Ibori’s leadership, courage, and strategic foresight.
“You are more than a leader; you are a symbol of resilience and guidance for all of us,” he said.
The former deputy governor wished Ibori continued peace, good health, and long life as he remains a revered elder statesman and enduring influence in the state’s political landscape.
