Youths of Ndokwa nation have passed a vote of implicit confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme for their youth friendly administration and development efforts in line with the MORE Agenda.
The passage of the vote of confidence followed a motion moved by Comrade Anslem Nzeteh and seconded by Comrade Eluka Alimona during the Ndokwa Community Youth Leaders MORE Agenda Roundtable Discourse at Ashaka, Ndokwa Esth local government area.
Addressing the youth drawn from the various youths bodies and clans in Ndokwa nation,the State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme said the Oborevwori administration was youth friendly as evident in his appointments.
Sir Onyeme accompanied by his wife,Ezinne Catherine admonished the youths to work with their elected and appointed political office holders to bring more development to Ndokwa land noting that some of the development issues raised at the roundabout discourse have been addresed in the 2024 budget.
He urged the youths to continue their unalloyed support to the Oborevwori administration and the People's Democratic Party, advising them to work together and speak in one voice to be able to achieve results.
The Deputy governor advised the youths to shun any form of violence and disunity in their ranks as that could hinder progress and development, assuring that efforts would be intensified for the peaceful agitation for the federal government to step down power in Ndokwa land.
He commended the Convener of the Roundtable Discourse,Comrade Hessington Okolo for bringing Ndokwa Youths together to discuss issues of development, noting that such a discourse would enable them to work together to achieve better results for the area.
The Convener of the Ndokwa Community Youths Leaders MORE Agenda Roundtable Discourse,Comrade Hessington Okolo said the programme was organized to enable youths of Ndokwa extraction rub minds on how best to work with the government to bring development to the area which is blessed with abundant human and natural resources.
Comrade Okolo,a lawyer and Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization assured the youths that the Oborevwori's administration would fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Ndokwa Nation and all Deltans.
He lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy,Sir Monday Onyeme for promoting the interests of youths and for their humanitarian activities in the state.
Comrade Okolo drew the attention of the federal government on the need to step down power at Ndokwa land and advised the youths to unite and shun divisive tendencies and work for the progress and development of the area
Youths Leaders from Ndokwa West,Ndokwa East and Ukwuani local government areas who spoke thanked Comrade Hessington Okolo for organizing the Roundtable Discourse and appealed for more political appointments,empowerment and development to the area particularly Ndokwa East .
