The people of Olodu Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government, Delta State have called on State and Local Government to come to their aid as the Community is in desaster.
The Olodu Community Youth President,Comrade Augustin Chukwumanjor made the appeal while speaking with Spotnewscommunication on the flood desaster plaguing the Community leading to the abandonment of the main town enclosed camp.
Comrade Chukwumanjor explained that since 2012 flood desaster,the community had been cut off from the main town while some indigenes who could not bear the situation relocated their families to nearby Communities.
He said the access road from Kwale Junction by OGWASHI UKU is not motorable, saying that even the Motorcycle,populary called Okada find it defilcult to get to Olodu Community.
The Youth President said over the years they have not received electricity supply or responds from the State or Local Government palliative.
Comrade Chukwumanjor said the major trade of Olodu Community is Agriculture which includes cassava,yam,plantain and palm plantations as well as fishing.
He said the Community needed urgent intervention as the predicament and suffering of Olodu Community is unbelievable.
The Olodu Youth President said the community market and Healthy center had been covered by bush while the electricity transformers had been vandalized and covered by weeds.
Comrade Chukwumanjor explained that Olodu Community is a peace loving Community and needed collaboration with the State and Local Governments to effect development of the Community.
