Delta State House Of Assembly Screened And Confirmed 17 Local Government Secretaries.

The State House of Assembly at  Tuesday plenary screened and confirmed 17 local government secretaries out of 21 secretaries nominees earlier listed for possible screening and confirmation.

 Two of the nominees were stepped down from Isoko South and Sapele, while the other two from Ika South and Ughelli South were asked to withdraw their curriculum vitae CV and bring the necessary information of their curriculum vitae CV before the end of Tuesday,and appear for screening on wednesday. 11th, September 

 The house dissolved itself into committee of the whole house in a motion moved by the Deputy majority leader Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem member representing Ika South constituency, seconded by Hon. Bridget Anyafulu member representing Oshimilli South constituency and Chaired by the Rt. Hon. Speaker Guwor Emomotimi to screen the local government secretaries nominees for possible confirmation. 

 They were all introduced by member representing them in their various constituencies.
      Those who were confirmed out of 19 secretaries to local government screened are: Aniocha North - Mr. Kennedy Dibia Okoh Bomadi - Mr. Famous Ofurobiri Ethiope East - Mr. Ebojoh Ojeh Francis Ethiope West - Sunday Young Adjamue Ika North East - Etumudun Tunde Martins Isoko North - Barr. Vote Augustine Umukoro Ndokwa East - Mr. Tunji Gabriel Iyasele Ndokwa West - Mr. Sunday Enu Okpe - Barr. Efurhievwe Victor Ogheneovo Oshimilli North - Mr. Ajufo Augustine Eloka Oshimilli South - Mr. Henry Obiora Enebeli Patani - Elder P. A. Oduru Udu - Gbise Ekwetafia Andrew JP Ughelli North - Mr. Unuavworho Irikefe Good luck Ukwuani - Chukunomnazu Osondu Uvwie - Mr. Osakwe Grayham Alakabrukeme and Warri South - Mr. Nunu Ewoghanran Emmanuel.        Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem moved a motion for their confirmation, seconded by member representing them in their various constituencies. Rt. Hon. Speaker Guwor Emomotimi thanked the Lawmakers for work well done and congratulated those confirmed as secretaries to local government. 


 Earlier the Rt. Hon. Speaker who presided over plenary announced the nomination of appointment of 2 local government secretaries from Aniocha South and Warri North. The deputy majority leader Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem moved a motion to receive the letter of nomination for appointment as secretaries to the 2 local government for further legislative consideration. Seconded by majority whip Hon. Odior Bernard member representing Isoko North Constituency. 


 The house adjourned to Wednesday 11th, September, 2024.
