The member representing the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon Nnamdi Ezechi,has attributed lack of enforcement and implementation of Nigerian laws to the major realistics the country is not progressing
The Law maker,stated this while at the party to parley with Journalists on Sunday held at the Press Centre of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Delta State Council, in Asaba, added that there were enough laws in place to address the problem of economics and political problems of Nigeria, but that the enforcement and implementation of such laws had been on windows dressing.
Hon.Ezechi attributed all to the failure of Tinubu-led Federal Government to be committed to the implementation and enforcing the laws of the federation, as well reform the administration’s policies to reduce poverty level in Nigeria.
While narrating some achievements recorded,Hon Ezechi said he had moved several motions that have been given attention which results would soon be noticed.
The Lawmaker said it was in his character to always be in the midst of his people, revealing that he had never missed visiting parts of his Constituency on a weekly basis since he became Member House of Reps.
He said he was in support of the agitation for the creation of Anioma State, but insisted that the proposed state should be in the South South region,
Hon Ezechi commended the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for the attention being given to the Ndokwa nation in his time, stressing that he, as the representative of the people, was happy to be associated with the progress so far made in attracting Federal and State presence to his Constituency.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Comrade Churchill Oyowe, told the Lawmaker that the parley to party hangout was a forum for people in power and stakeholders in the public and private sectors to interact with Journalists in an informal setting.
Comrade Oyowe said Journalists in the state had been following up on the activities of Hon Ezechi at the National Assembly and were happy with his performance so far, even beyond his immediate Constituency.
He encouraged the Parliamentarian not to relent and assured that Journalists in the state would continue to partner with him to ensure he delivered on his mandate
