Ukah Participates in NIPR Council Retreat, Gears Up for NRMG Strategic Engagement in Abuja
Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency and Council Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Chief Patrick Ukah, has concluded participation in the high-level NIPR Council Retreat and Inauguration, and is now set to join other members of the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) at a strategic retreat scheduled to begin next week in Abuja.
Chief Ukah was among the newly elected NIPR Council members who took part in the just-concluded retreat held at the Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The retreat, which ran from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, 2025, served as a strategic planning session aimed at setting the vision and priorities of the new Council in alignment with national development goals.
The event culminated in the formal inauguration of the new Council by the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris.
Ukah’s participation followed a formal request made by the President and Chairman of the NIPR Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, Ph.D., FNIPR, to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, seeking his official release.
The NIPR leadership described Ukah’s presence and contributions as vital to the Council’s success and to Delta State’s continued commitment to professional excellence in public communication.
Attention now shifts to the upcoming NRMG Implementation Board and Advisory Body retreat, where Chief Ukah is expected to play a key role.
The three-day retreat is slated for Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Best Premier Hotel, Maitama, Abuja.
Organised by the NIPR and coordinated by its Registrar, Chief Uzoma Onyegbadue, FNIPR, the retreat will focus on strengthening the nation’s reputation management architecture through stakeholder alignment and strategic planning.
Participants at the NRMG retreat will work to deepen their understanding of the group’s vision, mission, structure, and bye-laws.
The gathering also aims to align both boards on expectations and deliverables, map out a strategic 12-month roadmap, and identify key early wins in repositioning Nigeria’s image globally.
Chief Ukah’s dual role in these back-to-back engagements reflects his growing national influence in the field of public relations and strategic communication.
The NIPR leadership has commended his consistent dedication to the Institute’s mission and expressed optimism that his contributions will further elevate Nigeria’s image and professional standards in communication and governance.
