Zik Gbemre Hoping on Securing Cheap Popularity by Blackmailing Oborevwori:

By Tola O. Ajemisogbe

In the ever-evolving landscape of Delta State politics, the recent actions of Zik Gbemre have garnered significant attention, particularly his attempts to secure a political appointment and  mere cheap popularity by blackmailing Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. This maneuver, reminiscent of old political tactics typically employed by inconsequential politicians, underscores the lengths to which some will go in pursuit of power and influence.

Governor Oborevwori, known for his steadfast dedication to the people of Delta State, remains unshaken by the pugnacious, petulant, and prehistoric pudden-head rhetoric of Gbemre. Such tactics, characterized by underhanded schemes and unfounded allegations, reflect more on the perpetrator's desperation than on the target’s integrity and resolve.

The Deltan populace stands united in their support for His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the state's progress through his M.O.R.E. Agenda. This people-oriented initiative aims to enhance development and ensure the welfare of all Deltans, cementing Oborevwori's reputation as a governor who prioritizes the needs and aspirations of his constituents.

Gbemre's attempts to tarnish the image of Governor Oborevwori reveal a profound misunderstanding of the current political climate in Delta State. The era of manipulating public opinion through blackmail and baseless accusations is long past. Today's electorate is informed and discerning, valuing tangible progress over empty rhetoric. In today's Delta State, the blinds and the deaf need no aids to see the development currently pervading on our streets. From Warri to Sapele, Asaba to Okpanam, Agbor to Abraka, and so on are physical recalls of the constructions going on. I believe that the real Zik Gbemre, not the artificial Gbemre would know that truly, Delta is advancing.

Thisbrought me to the conclusion that, the act of hiding one's identity to hurl insults at celebrated monarchs and esteemed leaders is the hallmark of a coward. Gbemre’s actions betray his inability to achieve through legitimate means what his cliptotreasury paymaster could not secure in the 2023 PDP gubernatorial primary election. This cowardice life of subterfuge and smear campaigns does nothing but highlight his own political impotence.

In conclusion, the people of Delta State have voiced their unequivocal support for Governor Oborevwori, appreciating his diligent efforts to drive the state forward. As the M.O.R.E. Agenda continues to bring tangible benefits to the populace, it becomes increasingly clear that no amount of blackmail or underhanded tactics will divert the state from its path of progress and development. The legacy of Governor Oborevwori is one of integrity and service, a stark contrast to the inconsequential political maneuvers of those like Zik Gbemre.
